Private Sessions or Group Classes?
Your first 3-5 Pilates sessions should be private for optimal results. This will introduce you to the Pilates apparatus, allow the instructor to evaluate your strengths and weaknesses, and give you a chance you to learn Pilates at your own pace. These sessions will familiarize you with the movement and language of Pilates.
Can I start by taking Pilates mat classes?
Yes, as long as you do not have any major injuries.
What should I wear?
Pilates is practiced barefoot in whatever clothing is most comfortable for you.
How many times per week should I do Pilates?
Sessions are recommended two to three times per week for optimal results. Any combination of private sessions and group classes are encouraged.
